the one thing you should do for your content in 2025

2025 is yours

2025 is yours

That idea you have.

That podcast you want to start.

That YouTube show you want to host. This email is going to show you how you're never too late and 2025 can be your year.

You have all the power to radically change how your life looks llke in the coming years with content. The truth is, the creator economy hasn't yet popped off yet.

We're now going to enter very strange territory of how this new generation builds wealth and influence and all of that is in the power of being able to write, record, edit and publish views and opinions at scale.

Imagine writing content week on week. Your competition consistently checks out your social pages. They're wondering how you're so good at this, how you keep coming up with ideas, and how everyone seems to want to work with you. They are scared of you.

You're improving month on month and now eventually you hit a flow state, and now nobody can keep up with the brand deals and subscriber numbers heading your way.

What does it take to get there?

What do you need to be able to do this for yourself?

The beautiful part is that if you've already got an idea, even a very faint one, you've got almost everything you need now.

The formula for the ideas and creators that have popped off in the past couple years all starts from an idea of where you want to be and being able to be radically yourself in everything you share.

The first part of this is being good. You have to have good content for anyone to stop scrolling and consume. And by good, I don't mean glorified ad posts on your feed that are consistently begging your followers to buy your latest merch or product. Real content.

Whether you're a company brand or personal brand, you have to become a creator.

Not an influencer, not a celebrity. A creator.

You have to think of ways that you become a source for your interests to attract an audience to them.

How to become a value creator

I love the way famous entrepreneur Dan Koe puts it

  • Education - teach your interests in a way that helps people achieve a goal toward your vision.

  • Entertainment - throw in a dash of personality to attract people like you (the people you can help the most)

  • Inspiration - show people what you've built so they can see what's possible

When you show up consistently for a couple of weeks doing this, you're likely going to become comfortable talking about your interests and very scared as hell to be completely yourself with your content.

Some of your insecurities will come to light. You'd hate the way you sound. The way you look. You'd aim for perfection every time.

And I know this so well because that's where I was. I had to do the work to get comfortable being me and being okay with people not being okay with that. It's definitely easier said than done.

How to inject a real personality into your content

  • collect and save multiple content pieces from creators that you'd like to copy in your own writing and publishing. The more sources, the better. Your version will be so rich in sources and ideas.

  • study this content and find out what makes it so good. Most of the time it could be the hook. The speed of the speech in the video, or the way they used colours. Make notes on each piece.

  • get into the habit of writing often. Whether you're a designer, real estate mogul or fashion designer. You need to be able to properly articulate your thoughts and opinions, and you only get better by practising. I use Apple Notes for this and write one full note every morning on anything on my mind. When I was trying to get better with video, I was recording my thoughts on camera and sharing with my friends for feedback.

  • bonus part: answer this prompt every morning. What do you have to say about [your industry] that will get you cancelled by many

  • start small. Writing is one thing, but you've gotta start sharing your own thoughts and opinions one way or the other. One shared thought with someone in your audience is how relationships are built. That's why we follow people. That's how we follow and support creators of anything. We love and agree with the way they see the world

If you read till this point, I love you. Take a screenshot of this email and post on your stories and tag me. I want to know you and appreciate you personally.

I genuinely wish you'd be one of the few people who don't just read and forget but read, save parts of this and execute ruthlessly.

2025 is your year. Only you can take it.
